Bible Study - UNTIL THEN - Believe Also In Me

Sermon-Based Bible Study – February 28, 2021
- What is something God has done for you that you are thankful for or are celebrating? How have you experienced God’s love and faithfulness this week?
- Where are you experiencing stress, anxiety or discouragement? How would you like to see God move in your life or in the life of someone close to you?
- What did you hear in this week’s sermon that was new or particularly interesting? Did anything stand out to you as puzzling or troubling?
- Read John 13:33-14:3. Jesus is having a conversation with his disciples. What does Jesus tell his disciples about where he is going? What is the promise that he makes to them, even though they cannot go with him at that moment?
- What do you notice about the commandment that Jesus gives? Why does Jesus make a big deal about loving one another?
- What do these verses tell us about the character of God? And what do these verses tell us about the nature of humanity?
- 1 Corinthians 15:14 states, “And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.” Chris stated: “His resurrection has everything to do with His authority to claim He is the way, the truth, and the life.”
- How (and why) does sin cause us to reject or dismiss the authority of God? Why do we buck against God’s sovereign power?
- In what ways do you want to see the authority of God and the resurrection power of Jesus change your heart and mind?
- The Word of God tells us to keep our eyes on Jesus. What are some ways we can grow in doing this?
- What is a simple, next step you could take in obedience to what the Spirit is saying to you through this time in the Word? Who would benefit, or be interested in hearing about what you’ve learned in this study?
