Cliffs

Have you ever had an experience where there was a difference between what people thought you were saying and what you were really saying? Some of you may think, “Oh, you’re talking about marriage.” Well, that does happen. But it happens in more places than just marriage.

This coming weekend in our journey through the Gospel of Luke, we’ll see this very thing happen to Jesus when He visits the church He grew up in and it almost gets Him killed. The irony is that it’s when the confusion got sorted out that things really got dangerous for Jesus. It’s after He communicated all too clearly what He was about that He found Himself on the edge of a cliff.

Jesus experienced no shortage of resistance and choppy waters as He began His ministry. There are some profound insights to be gleaned for our own lives from this part of Jesus’ life. We’ll be in Luke 4:14-37 this weekend. Come ready with friends in tow!

Construction equipment is on the scene at the VR Campus. We’re less than a couple of weeks away from our father/daughter dance. We have a great event planned for strengthening our marriages in February, as well as a new Dynamic Marriage support group starting. ManCard isn’t far off either! These events are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to things that are happening in our midst and opportunities to dive in and connect with God and others. I’m so grateful to be a part of this church at this time!

Grace and Peace,

See You Thursday Night or Sunday!

Chris
